Now that I'm back to having my own dedicated workshop space (within our retail shop), lately I've been a furniture-painting madwoman. Instead of just a madwoman. LOL!
Up until this point, I've used all of the new Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint new Europoean Colours except Mora. I'm not sure why...because I love it! I used it on this large mahogany dresser we just got in. It had a lot of water staining on the top, but is in overall good shape. And I adore those shapely legs and little wheels!
Originally I planned to switch out the hardware, but the holes on these are an odd dimension and nothing fit. I'm happy they didn't...the elegant curve on the handles makes this piece even more ladylike. I also opted to leave the mirror unpainted. I didn't want the Mora to be too overwhelming and it compliments the random chippy areas perfectly.
One of my favorite characteristics about Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint is the buttery, smooth finish you can get with just a little sanding and buffing. I used one of these guys on this dresser and, the surface feels AMAZING!
This sturdy, mahogany is now available in the shop. You can get all the details here.
